Kenny Omega (O) vs HARASHIMA (X)

Starting with lockups. Harashima’s necklock, Kenny returned. Then Kenny took Harashima’s arm and twisted. Then Harashima’s hammerlock to Kenny but Kenny returned it to headscissors. After the break, started with lockups, then Kenny’s armwhip and ran to the ropes. Harashima’s leapfrog and then ran to the ropes. Kenny’s leapfrog to dropkick – count 2. Kenny’s hammer-punch for 2 times, backhand-chop at the corner. Then threw Harashima to the opposite corner and ran to hi. But Harashima returned to Kenny from the corner but Kenny backflipped and Harashima couldn’t catch him. Kenny climbed up the corner and twisted cross body to Harashima but kicked by his knee to Kenny. Harashima delivered 2 guillotine drops to Kenny and dropkick to Kenny – count 2. Harashima delivered hammer-punch to Kenny, then necklock with knee on the belly. Kenny escaped somehow. Both stood up and delivered elbows each other, Harashima’s fistpunch to Kenny and Kenny lay down, Harashima’s stomping to Kenny. Then lifted up Kenny to stomach-block and knee drop – count 2.

Harashima’s soccerball-kick, cobratwist. Then Kenny reversed with hiptoss. Kenny ran to the ropes but Harashima’s kitchen-sink to Kenny. Harashima lifted Kenny with brainbuster and threw him to the top rope. Kenny fell down to the ringside. Harashima gave swan-dive elbow to Kenny. Then came back to the ring again and elbow-smash each other. Kenny’s back-kick and Harashima’s back-kick. Harashima’s swan-dive press from the apron but Kenny blocked.

Kenny shouldered Harashima to Death by Roderick and running hammer-punch for 2 times. Then tracekick to Kotaro-Face crusher to Harashima. Kenny’s middle kicks or 3 times and then Stop! Enzuigiri to Harashima and Harashima fell down from the ring. Then Kenny’s No touch Tope Con Hilo to Harashima ans came back to the ring. Kenny’s Aoi Shoudou (cross-armed fisherman’s buster) to count 2.

Then after several back-and-forth, Kenny tried to delivered Hadoken but Harashima blocked it and gave reverse Frankensteiner. Harashima delivered Soumatou, and Kenny delivered Hadoken – both were knocked out. After stood up, both slapped each other, then clothline at the same time. Harashima’s firebird splash – count 2. Harashima tried to deliver reverse Frankensteiner from the corner but Kenny hold off and changed it to his electric chair German suplex (from the corner post). Then delivered Hadoken but it was count 1. Then Kenny’s dragon suplex to Harashima but count 2. Kenny delivered several knee kick to Harashima and delivered Hadoken again – this time count 3 to win.

After the match, Kenny was on mic and promised DDT fans that he would come back to DDT again soon.

Let me explain about Great Puroresu – its’ really a minor indie promotion.

Kenny controlled whole match from the beginning to the end, and only “pro-wrestling moves” he made was Tony Jaa (Running Double Knee strike with opponent on chair) on the ramp and Dragon Revolution (pump-handle suplex) as finisher. According to Great Puroresu fan, it’s miracle that JomTaro “wrestled” in a “single match”. I guess this word tells you all.

タイラー・ブラック　インタビュー／Tyler Black Interview

『ハヤブサかな。17歳のときに彼を見てものすごく好きになったんだ。』

飯伏幸太がゴールデンスターなら、タイラー・ブラックは不気味に黒光りするブラックスターといったところか。いまやROHに欠かせない存在となったアメリカインディー界の超新星タイラー・ブラックが、9月のROH日本公演で遂に初来日を果たす。いままでインターネットなどの動画サイトでしか見ることのできなかったタイラー・ブラックの超絶技を目の当たりにできるとあって、一部のアメリカインディープロレスファンにとっては絶対に見逃せない機会となりそうだ。冒頭にもあるように、彼の口からハヤブサの名前がでてくるあたり、彼のプロレスルーツもまた日本にあるといえる。

――まずはプロレスのキャリアは何年になりますか？

（タイラー・ブラック　以下タイラー）　プロレスを始めて3年半になるんだ。もうすぐ4年だね。

――誰に師事していましたか？

（タイラー）　トレーナーはダニー・ダニエルス。シカゴのトレーナーさ。

――プロレスを始めるきっかけは何ですか？

（タイラー）　実はROHレスリングアカデミーの第2期生としてトレーニングしたのが始まりなんだ。

――えー、それは知りませんでした。

（タイラー）　で、まあ、お金も続かなくなって、とりあえず実家に戻ったんだ。僕は中西部出身なんだけど、シカゴでダニー・ダニエルスの道場があるってわかって、トレーニングを受けるために車で三時間かけてシカゴまで通ったんだ。週に何度もね。とにかく一心不乱にトレーニングを続けてさ、今の僕があるってわけ。

――あなたの趣味（好きな本、好きなアーティスト、好きなバンド）を教えてください。

（タイラー）　本だと『ファイトクラブ』のチャック・パラニュークが好きだね。あと、音楽は…あー（たまたま私が着ていたディリンジャー・エスケイプ・プランのTシャツを指さしながら）ディリンジャー・エスケイプ・プランのようなハードコアなものを聴いたり、ゲームの「ギターヒーロー」が好きでよく遊ぶよ。あとはー、ゴルフとかチェスなんかも好きだね。おかしいでしょ？（笑）

――「タイラー・ブラック」というリングネームの由来を教えてください。

（タイラー）　あはは、そうねー、まずはタイラーなんだけど、これは『ファイトクラブ』のタイラー（映画ではブラット・ピットが演じた）からで、ブラックは『ハリー・ポッター』に出てくるブラックという登場人物から。僕はシリアスなキャラクターが好きだから二つをくっつけちゃえってことで出来た名前なんだ。

――日本へ行くのは初めてですか？

（タイラー）　そう。9月のROH日本公演で初めて日本へ行くよ。かなり興奮してるよ。だってさ、この業界にいる人なら誰でも日本に憧れるじゃない？少なからず誰でも日本のプロレスの影響は受けてるし、それに日本ではプロレスは人気でしょ？

－－では子供の頃から日本のプロレスを観ていたのですか？

（タイラー）　いや、子供の頃は観てないよ。当時はやっぱりWWFとかメジャーなものを観てたんだけど、自分の意志でプロレスを観るようになってからは日本のプロレスも観るようになったんだ。あと、ROHでレスリングをするようになって、日本のプロレスを意識するようになったね。

――日本へ行ったら何をしたいですか？

（タイラー）　あー。日本食を沢山食べたいなー。寿司とかも好きだしね。何でも怖がらずに挑戦して食べるつもりだよ。

――日本のラーメンはお勧めですよ。ジャパニーズヌードルです。

（タイラー）　おお。それは是非チャレンジしてみるよ。

――あなたの一番好きなレスラーは誰ですか？

（タイラー）　小さい頃はハルク・ホーガン。

――だいたいみんなそう言いますよね。

（タイラー）　そうそう。そうなんだよね。みんな小さい頃のヒーローはハルク・ホーガンだよ。あとショーン・マイケルズも好きだった。

――あなたのレスリングスタイルは誰の影響が一番強いと思いますか？

（タイラー）　AJスタイルズかな。彼は飛べるし、ハードヒッターでもあるし、結構オールラウンダーだよね。

－－あなたもどちらかというとオールラウンダーではないですか？飛ぶし、ハードヒッターだし、グラウンドでの攻防も対応できるし。

（タイラー）　そうであるように努力はしてるんだ。

――いままでの試合の中で一番危なかった経験、もしくは失敗談を教えてください。

（タイラー）　肩が外れたり、鼻を骨折したり、いろいろとあるけどアゴを骨折したのが一番最悪だった。治るまでに何ヶ月もかかるし。あれは痛いよー、マジで。まあそんなとこかな。でも鼻の骨折なんてこの仕事すれば誰でもやることだし。いまはもう治ってるから何ともないけどね。

――対戦してみたい日本人レスラーはいますか？そしてそれは誰ですか？

（タイラー）　んー困ったなあ。どの時代から選んでも良いというなら、ハヤブサかな。17歳のときに彼を見てものすごく好きになったんだ。そう、だから彼の得意だったフェニックススプラッシュをいま僕が試合で使ってるのも、彼の影響なんだ。

――エイジ・オブ・ザ・フォール(AOTF)というチームの説明をしてください。またはどんなチームなのですか？

（タイラー）　AOTFというのは、自分の意志の通りに人生を生きろというモットーを掲げているんだ。言われたからしなきゃいけない、規則だからやらなくてはいけない、ではなくて、自分の気持ちに素直に従うことを目標としている。みんながやっているからという理由ではなくて、自分がやりたいからこそやることが大切なんだ。AOTFはそういうモットーを皆に伝えるために活動している。自分で人生を切り開いていくんだ、ってね。

－－私生活のあなた自身もこういった考えに賛同しているのですか？

（タイラー）　ああ、基本的にはそのように生きてるつもりだよ。だってさ、僕のやりたいことはプロレスなんだ。学校では成績も良くなかったし、大学へ行って卒業して会社勤めするなんてまっぴらだって思ってる。もしそんな道に進んでたら、絶対に後悔するに決まってるさ。僕はアイオワのすごく小さな町の出身なんだ。道路には街灯は一個もないし、コンビニは町に一軒あるだけ。そんな田舎出身だけど、目標を持ってやればできるっていうことも証明したかったんだ。

――ところで、背中にあるタトゥーは何て書いてあるんですか？

（タイラー）　あー。これは武士道のことが書いてあるんだ。日本人にとっては支離滅裂なことが書いてあると思うから先に謝っておくよ。本当にごめん！で、これは映画の『ラストサムライ』から取ったんだ。映画の中の台詞がとっても気に入ってね。すごく良いことを言ってると思ったんだ。あの映画を観たとき僕は18歳で、ものすごく拗ねていた時期だったんけど、「自分の意志をしっかりと持ち、その目標に向かっていけば、必ずその目標に到達できる」というようなことを言ってたんだ。で、それを背中に入れてみたってわけ。

――日本のファンへメッセージをお願いします。

（タイラー）　日本の皆さん、はじめましてタイラー・ブラックです。今回初めて日本へ行きます。是非、会場へお越し下さい。僕たちが革命を起こします。

――そして最後に、あなたにとってプロレスとはなんですか？

（タイラー）　うーん、いま現在で言えば、僕のライフスタイル。プロレスラーになるということは、生活の全てがプロレスに関連するってこと。辛い時もあるし、逆に楽しいこともある。だから一言で言うのは難しいね。だってたくさんの要素が含まれているからね。

KUDO vs Masa Takanashi (X) vs Kenny Omega (O)
(8:03 Hadoken)

This is triple threat match. Kenny and Kudo ignored Takanashi and started match (this is a typical movement with DDT’s triple threat match). Both of them kept ignoring Takanashi and exchanged some armwhips. Takanashi tried to join the match but Kenny and Kudo let him out. Then Takanashi gave thumbing to both of them and pretended he didn’t do anything. Kenny’s armwhip, then Kudo’s armwhip, and then delivered dropkick at the same time.

Kenny threw Kudo and Takanashi to the ropes. Takanashi landed at the apron from top rope and Kudo kicked him and fell to the floor. Kenny’s cyclone-whip, Kudo’s whip then gutshot to Kenny. Kenny leapfrog to dropkick to Kudo. Then Takanashi pinched Kenny’s nose and gave punch, dropkick but it was count 2.

Takanashi gave chops and Kenny gave elbows. Takanashi’s thumbing again but Kudo kicked him when he ran to the ropes. Then Kudo’s swandive missile kick to Kenny but it was count 2. Kudo delivered middlekick and backspin kick and buzzsaw kick but Takanashi interfered Kudo’s cover. Then Kenny’s cross-legged fisherman’s buster but Takanashi schoolboy-ed Kenny and it was count 2.

Takanashi ran to the floor but backed to the ring. Then thumbing again. Takanashi ran to the rope but both Kenny and Kudo gave me Stop Enzuigiri then Kenny’s powerbomb to Takanashi.Then Kudo rifted Takanashi and Kenny gave hipdrop to Takanashi by jumping over Kudo and cover – count 2. Kudo hold Takanashi and Kenny delivered Hadouken to Takanashi but he escaped and hit to Kudo. Then Takanashi came in and schoolboy-ed Kenny – count 2. Takanashi again tried to finish but count 2 again.

Then Kenny’s fisherman’s buster to Takanashi. Kudo’s diving knee attack from the top rope then Takanashi kicked Kudo in the face. All 3 are down at this moment.

Then Kenny’s Electric Chair German Suplex to Takanashi and delivered to Hadoken and finalized the match with count 3.

At first this match was scheduled as Kenny vs Takanashi’s single match but was changed to triple threat mathc including Kudo. It looks like sloid match again.

Kenny’s next match in Japan is Aug.27 (Wed) at Great Puroresu against Jom-Taro.
