    We shot this promo in 2008 to promote ROH Japan tour. We were very impressed how he concentrated and how he devoted on to shoot this quick promo. Once the camera started, he suddenly became as “Larry Sweeney”. He was really a professional man. He went to Japan as a manager of Sweet & Sour Inc, but Japanese magazine wrote an article saying “Please Come Back!” and they highly evaluated Sweeney’s character. We just lost a great man with great talent. He was truly a professional. We already miss him.

    R.I.P. Larry Sweeney.

    先ずはドレイク・ヤンガーから入場。観客からは一斉にブーイング。続いて葛西純が入場すると、「ジューン！カサーイ！」チャント。葛西は気合十分。

    「クレイジー！モンキー！」チャントまで発生するほどの人気ぶり。葛西はコーナーに立てかけられたボブワイヤーボードを横目で見ながらニヤケ顔。ゴングが鳴ると両者組み合いオーソドックスな立ち上がり。

    ヤンガーは葛西をボブワイヤーボードに投げようとするが失敗。葛西を場外で流血させる。

    葛西は脚立を寝かせてヤンガーをボディースラム。「ガチン！」という鈍い音と同時に「ウガー！」という叫び声が響く。すぐに蘇生したヤンガーは、コーナーに立てかけられたボブワイヤーボードに葛西を投げつける。「バコーン！」という音でボードは真っ二つに。

    ヤンガーはリング下から椅子を取り出すと葛西をボディースラム。JCベイリーへの追悼の言葉を叫んでから、脚立から葛西へフットスタンプ。場内は「JCベイリー！」の大チャント。

    ヤンガーは葛西の股間を有刺鉄線に投げ落とす。

    こんどは三角コーンにお尻から落とす。股間への連続攻撃で目覚めたのか、葛西はヘラヘラと笑いながら立ち上がる。すかさずヤンガーが葛西をかつぎ上げて脚立の上にデスバレー。

    ヤンガーは椅子をリング上に寝かせ葛西をアタマから落とす。しかしツーでキックアウト。

    ボブワイヤーボードを下向きにセットしたヤンガーは脚立へ登る。葛西がエスケープするとヤンガーを追って脚立へ駆け上る。脚立の上で葛西のヘッドバット。「ゴツン！」という鈍い音。

    ヘッドバットでふらふらになったヤンガーを、ボブワイヤーボードめがけてスーパープレックス。つづけてボブワイヤーボードの上にみちのくドライバー。しかしヤンガーはキックアウト。ヤンガーの額から大量の出血。更に葛西がジェイ・ドライバーで投げるが、ヤンガーはツーでキックアウト。ゾンビか。驚異的な粘りを見せるヤンガー。

    ゴーグルを片手に脚立を登る葛西。しかしヤンガーが追いつきボブワイヤーボードめがけてスーパープレックス。

    しかし葛西はムクッと立ち上がり「ウガー！」と雄叫び。観客からは大歓声。ヤンガーのバックを取ってボブワイヤーボードにバックドロップ。すると葛西は脚立に駆け上り「シュワッチ！」と叫んでゴーグルを装着。「シェー！」と叫びながらパールハーバー・スプラッシュ。

    が、しかし、ヤンガーはそれをカウントワンでキックアウト！必至の表情でヤンガーを立ち上がらせる葛西。最後は変形のジェイ・ドリラーが決まりスリーカウント。葛西の勝利。

    三角コーンを被って勝ち名乗りを受ける葛西。観客からはスタンディングオベーションで大拍手が送られた。


    試合前には緊張気味だったという葛西純。久しぶりとなるアメリカでの一試合目（今回は二日間で四試合）は、文字通り血みどろの死闘となった。想像していたとおり葛西とヤンガーは手が合う。葛西のキ●ガイファイトを真正面から受けまくったヤンガーは素晴らしいの一言だ。技を受けるだけではなく、あともう少しというところまで攻め込んだ試合巧者なところも評価したい。ヤンガーの真骨頂でもある驚異的な粘り強さが、良い相乗効果となって現れた試合だったように思う。この一戦だけで終わらせるのが勿体なさすぎる。別のデスマッチ形式でも観てみたいと思わせるこのカード、いつかまたどこかで実現してもらいたいものである。
